Sports Club

“Sweat the stress out, unwind and become fresh”

Sports do not build character. They reveal it.

Success isn’t something that just happens – success is learned, success is practiced and then it is shared.

A comprehensive sports club program is an integral part of campus recreation. Sports club gives the student community an opportunity to participate in competitive sport activities, learn new skills, improve skill levels and enjoy the recreational and social fellowship derived from sports involvement that has been formed by individuals motivated by common interests and a desire to participate in a favorite sport activity. Sports clubs are governed by the rules and regulations governing all student organizations.

Objectives of sports club:
1. To offer sports activity for any interested student who has the desire to participate and to help develop skills in different sport.
2. To develop and maintain mutually supportive programs of excellence in both academics and athletics in order to benefit the students, faculty and administrators.
3. To operate club sports programs at a high level of competition and to seek affiliation with institutions which demonstrate a similar commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and athletic competitiveness.
4. To promote character development in student-athletes, including cooperation, teamwork, leadership, and loyalty.
5. To train student-athletes in legitimate means of displaying good sportsmanship and the will to win, thereby contributing to the development of institutional moral, loyalty, and college spirit.
6. To provide suitable opportunities for all students with an interest in sport within the communities.
7. To provide pathways to support transition from participation to performance and excellence.

Events: Cricket, Volley ball, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Carom, Throw ball, Athletics etc.

The emphasis in sports club activities is on leadership. A successful sports club is the fact that it is student-initiated and student- controlled, and the emphasis is placed on participation.
